2. What Take Home UK provides
Take Home UK estimates UK take-home pay using information you enter and the calculation rules implemented for the tax years and regions shown in the app. Features may include Income Tax, National Insurance, pension, Student Loan, salary comparison, different pay periods and indicative currency conversion.
3. Estimates and no professional advice
All results are estimates based on the information you enter and the rules implemented in the app. They are not guaranteed to be complete, current or correct, and are not a recommendation, representation, quote or promise of the amount you will receive. Results may differ from an actual payslip because of tax codes, benefits, bonuses, payroll timing, rounding, workplace pension rules, statutory payments, expenses, deductions, employer treatment, HMRC adjustments or future rule changes. You are responsible for checking important decisions with HMRC, your employer, payroll provider or a suitably qualified adviser.
4. Your responsibilities
- Enter accurate and complete information.
- Use the correct tax year, region, pension arrangement and Student Loan plan.
- Independently verify results before making any financial, employment, borrowing, investment or tax decision.
- Do not rely on the app as the sole basis for accepting employment, resigning, borrowing, investing or making tax decisions.
- Use the app lawfully and do not attempt to disrupt, reverse engineer, abuse or gain unauthorised access to it, except where law expressly permits.
5. Availability and changes
We review the app and website for each new UK tax year before publishing new tax-year figures. We may update, correct, suspend or discontinue any part of Take Home UK. Tax rules and external exchange-rate services can change, become unavailable or contain delays, including after publication. We do not promise uninterrupted or error-free operation, and you must check the tax year selected before relying on a result.
6. Currency conversion
Converted amounts are indicative. They may not include fees, spreads, charges or the rate available from a bank, card issuer or money-transfer provider. Do not use them as a guaranteed transaction quote.
7. Intellectual property
Take Home UK, its design, branding, software, text and original content are owned by or licensed to the operator and are protected by applicable intellectual-property laws. You receive a personal, limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable and revocable right to use the app for lawful purposes.
8. Third-party services
The app may depend on Apple, Google, hosting providers or exchange-rate sources. Their own terms and privacy policies apply to their services. We are not responsible for third-party services outside our control.
9. Liability
To the fullest extent permitted by applicable law, Take Home UK and its operator are not liable for any loss, damage, cost or claim arising from your use of, inability to use, or reliance on the app, a calculation or currency conversion. This includes any loss caused by an estimate, inaccurate or incomplete input, unavailable third-party data, device failure, changed rules, a decision you make, or circumstances outside our reasonable control.
To the fullest extent permitted by applicable law, we are not liable for indirect or consequential loss, loss of profit, revenue, salary, opportunity, savings, data, goodwill or business interruption. Take Home UK is provided on an “as available” basis, without any guarantee that calculations will be uninterrupted, current, complete or error-free.
Nothing in these terms excludes or limits liability that cannot legally be excluded or limited, including liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, fraud or fraudulent misrepresentation. If you use Take Home UK as a consumer, your statutory rights are not affected.
10. App-store terms
Your use may also be subject to Apple App Store or Google Play terms. The relevant store provider is not responsible for maintaining or supporting Take Home UK except as required by its own rules or applicable law.
11. Termination
You may stop using Take Home UK at any time. We may restrict access where reasonably necessary for security, misuse, legal compliance or protection of the service and its users.

13. Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws applicable in the part of the United Kingdom where the operator is established, without depriving consumers of mandatory protections available where they live. Courts with jurisdiction under applicable consumer law may hear disputes.
14. Changes to these terms
We may revise these terms to reflect app changes, legal requirements or security needs. Continued use after an updated version becomes effective means you accept the revised terms where permitted by law.
